A Good Mens Watch?

i’m looking for a watch for my dad, for his 47th birthday. i want a good one, but i don’t want to spend over 0 (because i’m poor), and i have no clue where to look. i know he likes the types that have a leather band, because metal ones irritate him, but that’s really it. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I’d go with a Swiss Army watch. All men seem to like them. Some of them have leather bands and some have material bands. I know my husband loves his. He has a Rolex and a Tag Heuler, both of which are in the thousand dollar range, but I find that he wears the Swiss Army one more than the others, except for fancy occassions. They keep great time and are very in style. You can find them all over the place

im not sure about pricing right now, sorry if they are expensive but some good watch brands that aren’t those high end expensive ones like rolex are Bulova, Sieko, and Citzen is a good on and i believe there prices are managable.

I think Fossil watches are nice and they aren’t real expensive.

as a 46 yr old male, I look for in a watch:

    waterproof
    back lit
Quartz (accurate, no moving parts to break)
nylon band- (it’s waterproof, and more durable than leather)
LCD display (gives most info. at a glance, day, date, month, and is computer controlled, so no adjusting is neccesary).
shock proof- black plastic works best.
To me a watch is a tool, to some it is jewelry, I need a rugged dependable accurate watch. Casio and Timex make watches like this between $20-$100

Bulova or Swiss Army are your best picks for your dad. They come in leather bands with different textures. Check out the Amazon website for more shopping ideas. Believe it or not Amazon has so much more to offer than just books. By the way, you sound so thoughtful to go out of your way to get him the perfect gift. Good luck & happy shopping!!!
