Hamm, Horton Make US Men’s Gymnastics Team

SportsHamm, Horton Make US Men’s Gymnastics TeamHamm, Horton Make US Men’s Gymnastics TeamThe Associated PressOlympic gold medalist Paul Hamm missed this week’s Olympic trials with a broken hand, but he was selected for the US team along with Jonathan Horton. Sunday, an announcement is expected about the remaining team members. (June 21)(JONATlHAN HORTON) I am just trying to figure out what has just happened IT HASN’T QUITE SUNK IN YET FOR JONATHAN HORTON THAT HE JUST OFFICIALLY EARNED HIMSELF A SPOT ON THE 2008 OLYMPIC GYMNASTICS TEAM….(JONATHON HORTON) words can’ even describe it you work 18 years for something like this and to finally be on the olympic team knowing that i’m gonna represent the united states of america in the greatest sporting stage ever it’s unrealAFTER TWO GRUELING DAYS OF OLYMPIC TRIALS, HORTON AND REIGNING OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST PAUL HAMM WERE ANNOUNCED AS THE FIRST TWO MEN TO JOIN THIS YEAR’S TEAM….BUT THE SATISFACTION OF BEING NAMED ON THE TEAM WASN’T QUITE AS SWEET FOR HAMM (PAUL HAMM) I don’t feel probably the same way as jonathan feels right now he was out there all four days of competition for the trials process, so it’s a little bittersweet because I know I’m on the team but I know I haven’t quite shown a group of people I deserve to be on it.A BROKEN HAND BONE KEPT HIM FROM COMPETING IN THIS WEEK’S TRIALS….HE WON A SPOT ON THE TEAM BY PETITIONING TO THE SELECTION COMMITTEE….BUT AFTER A FIERCE COMPETITION AMONGST THE THIRTEEN GYMNASTS

are you nuts? Hamm is the best gymnast we have. Had his hand healed adequately he’d have done us proud. Putting him on the team was a no brainer

ugh I hate how everyone was like “well now that Paul and the other Hamm are hurt the guys should just be excited that they got to the Olympics but they’re not going to do very well” Dominique Dawes should have shut her stupid face with that comment. The guys did a great job, forgetting the score of 12 of course, but aside from that they really didn’t do very bad for first time Olympians.

Yes I did watch the olympics, and Sasha was great. But the fact is, he is inconsistent and never hits. It doesn’t amtter how good you CAN be, it matters how good you are and what numbers you put up. Sasha hadn’t been putting up beneficial numbers to the team, Paul was. Which is why Paul made the team and Sasha was amde an alternate.

It was great seeing the US Men succeed in spite of injuries. I have loved watching J. Horton compete over the years and thought he would make the team after seeing him compete in a Houston gym eight years ago. I was so pleased to see Raj get his change to step up and be on the team and contribute to another outstanding effort. Here is a video of some Junior Men who went to Junior Nationals. They go to the Gym where Paul and Morgan Hamm went early in their career.

Sacramones performance was terrible during the olympics and was the reason why Team USA lost. With that kind of performance and still made it to the national team, I wonder how many coaches did she have to sleep with in order to get the spot. Her ass is so fat, I think her ass is at least 20 pounds extra compared to her teammates. That was why she brought down Team USA. Stupid bitch should go to Jenny Craig. Alicia will go down as the worst, and most disgraceful gymnast in Olympic history.

@zhlyoung If he did steal it and Young really is the best gymnast, where did he finish in 2008? Oh that’s right he didn’t even medal. At least Paul is still making a comeback, even though he has to withdraw from Beijing due to injury.
