A genuine Rolex will have a serial number on it. They all are registered.
Usually the fastest way is to look at the second hand, if it pauses slightly in between seconds it is an imitation. If it has fluent movement, with no pausing at all, it is a good chance it is a real one.
ALL genuine Rolex watches will have serial numbers under where the band attaches to the case..There are many fake ones floating around.
The best way is to take it to reputable jeweler. He could verify it’s authenticity for you.
The weight is always a big giveaway, as they feel much heavier than they look. Also the quality of the bracelet (if it has one.)
The self winding mech is a kinetic swing, that will keep it going for 24-48 hours without it being moved.
I would reccomend checking google for a decent site that shows you all the tell-tale signs, as i’ve seen quite a few before.
